Give to the Altar Flowers

Flowers in church each Sunday enhance worship with beauty and signs of life. Distinctive arrangements are a long-standing tradition at St. John’s Church. Volunteers on the Flower Guild arrange flowers for each Sunday and for special services.

Donations for flowers are given as memorial and/or thanksgiving dedications on Sundays. Donations can be made on a one-time basis or annually. Some parishioners like to give flowers on a particular Sunday or near a particular date each year. The suggested donation for flower memorials is $85.

We have a list of people who have requested recurring memorial and/or thanksgiving dedications on certain Sundays throughout the year, but there always are opportunities for additions. Please call the Parish Office or contact Tim Barwick if you would like to add a dedication.

To contribute toward altar flowers, donate online below. Don't forget to include details about who the donation is in memory/honor of and the Sunday you'd like your loved one to be recognized in the service bulletin. 

You may also donate by check made payable to St. John’s Church with "Altar Flowers" noted on the memo line. When mailing a check, please address the envelope to Post Office Box 457, McLean, VA 22101-0457.
