What we do:

We address Homelessness through:

  • Samaritan Ministries
  • Sandwich Sunday (making sandwiches for Martha’s Table)
  • Second Story
  • Homestretch
  • Family PASS
  • Hypothermia Center
  • Youth Group Mission Trips to New York City

We address Education/Literacy through:

  • Colin L. Powell Leadership Club and tutoring at Raymond Education Center in Washington, D.C.
  • Companion relationship with Iglesia San Gabriel in Consuelo, Dominican Republic
  • Fall Church/McLean Children’s Center
  • Northern Virginia Literacy Center

We address support for Veterans through:

  • Wounded Warriors Project at Vinson Hall

We address the need for Affordable Housing through:

  • Habitat for Humanity

We address the needs of refugees through:

  • Just Neighbors
  • Northern Virginia Family Services
  • Episcopal Relief & Development

We address Hunger through:

  • Martha’s Table
  • Food for Others
  • Soup Drive
  • Projects on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (A Day On Not A Day Off)

We address Families in Need through:

  • Second Story
  • Homestretch
  • Family Pass
  • Episcopal Relief & Development Hurricane Relief

We address World Poverty through:

  • Swawou School for Girls in Kenema, Sierra Leone

We address Domestic Violence through:

  • Homestretch
  • Family PASS

We would like to do more to respond to the needs of:

  • Refugees
  • Homeless people

We would like to learn more about possibilities to respond to:

  • Human Trafficking
  • Young People in detention

We would like to explore partnerships with other churches for the following activities:

  • Further engaging our youth, e.g., summer service project
  • Overseas missions, possibly to Haiti
  • Homelessness, e.g., hypothermia project at Christmas
  • Ecumenical activity, e.g., interfaith dialogue/lecture series
